The Enduro is Hyundai's new 4-seat, 3-door coupé-style crossover utility vehicle (CUV). It celebrated its world première today at the 11th Seoul Motor Show. Hyundai claims that it's the "perfect partner" for city dwellers who live energetic and dynamic lives.
Outside, a huge take on the familiar hexagonal grille points at the fact that this is a concept, and step bars on the side skirts improve the ease of access to the roof rack. The good ol' mirror is soon to be a thing of the past, or so Hyundai hints, with rear- and side-view cameras giving a wide field of view, seen on a display in the overhead console.
Inside, the steering wheel resembles that of a motorcycle and two zones form the centre console known as the 'top knob' and 'bottom knob', with the former controlling the infotainment system and the latter controlling the climate control. Air con is also delivered to the 2 rear-seat-occupants and the drawer-style compartments in the boot provide useful storage for small bits and bobs.
Power is delivered through a 2.0-litre T-GDI (turbocharged gasoline direct injection) engine mated to a 7-DCT (7-speed dual clutch transmission) 'box.
The Emduro is 16 mm longer than a VW Golf, 53 mm wider and 9 mm shorter.
